Associate Professor Martin Štěpnička, Vice-Rector for Research and Artistic Activities at the University of Ostrava, will be one of the invited speakers at the EUSFLAT VII European Summer School on Fuzzy Logic and Applications – SFLA 2026. The summer school will take place from 6 to 10 July 2026 in Warsaw, Poland, at the Faculty of Mathematics and Information Science of the Warsaw University of Technology.
He will deliver a lecture entitled „From fuzzy relations to decision-making“, focusing on the connection between fuzzy relations and decision-making processes. The summer school is aimed primarily at PhD students and early-career researchers and combines lectures by leading experts with hands-on sessions, workshops and discussions on current developments in fuzzy set theory and its applications.
His involvement in the SFLA 2026 programme reflects the strong position of the University of Ostrava within the European fuzzy logic and technology community and contributes to the international training of young researchers in fuzzy modelling and decision-making methods.
