University of Ostrava Vice-Rector Martin Štěpnička gave a tutorial at IJCRS 2026 in Cádiz

Associate Professor Martin Štěpnička, Vice-Rector for Research and Artistic Activities at the University of Ostrava, took part in the 12th International Joint Conference on Rough Sets, which was held from 26 to 29 May 2026 in Cádiz, Spain.

Lecture by Prof. Piotr Oprocha at the Vojtěch Jarník International Mathematical Competition

On 22 April 2026, the 33rd Annual Vojtěch Jarník International Mathematical Competition was held at the Faculty of Science of the University of Ostrava. The Institute for Research and Applications of Fuzzy Modeling served as a co-organizer of the event.

International Success of UO Researchers

Researchers from the fuzzy institute, Petr Hurtík and Marek Vajgl, focusing on the artificial intelligence succeeded in two competitions organized by Signate and the Japanese ministry in 2020.
