Petra Števuliáková Presented Research on Text Credibility Assessment at FCTA 2026
On 28–30 October 2026, Dr. Petra Števuliáková from the Institute for Research and Applications of Fuzzy Modeling (IRAFM) at the University of Ostrava attended the international FCTA 2026 conference in Angers, France, where she presented research findings on text credibility assessment using artificial intelligence and fuzzy methods.
FCTA (International Conference on Fuzzy Computation Theory and Applications) is part of IJCCI (International Joint Conference on Computational Intelligence), bringing together experts in fuzzy systems, neural networks, evolutionary computation, and artificial intelligence.
Petra Števuliáková presented the paper “A Fuzzy Approach to Text Credibility Assessment via Semantic Attributes”, co-authored by Dr. Jiří Janeček, Assoc. Prof. Petr Sosík, and Dr. Michal Místecký. The proposed method combines large language models (LLMs) with fuzzy approaches to assess text credibility and identify characteristics indicating potentially misleading or manipulative content. Interpretability of the results is also an important aspect of the research.
The research builds on previous findings presented at IPMU 2026 and ITAT 2026 and demonstrates the potential of fuzzy modeling in addressing current challenges related to artificial intelligence and disinformation.
The research is conducted within the project “Biography of Fake News with a Touch of AI: Dangerous Phenomenon through the Prism of Modern Human Sciences”, registration no. CZ.02.01.01/00/23_025/0008724.
